What is the pre-trial planning call?

Before any delivery is scheduled, we call the OT or case manager to confirm the home environment, existing bedroom setup, the client's vulnerabilities, and the funding pathway. This step prevents delivery-day surprises, access issues, incorrect equipment, or unclear handover, that are the most common cause of failed trials elsewhere.

How much does a home trial cost?

The trial itself is funded by Sleep Choice, there is no cost to the client, the therapist or the funder for the 7-day evaluation. If the equipment is returned within the trial period, no invoice is issued. Purchase or rent-to-own pricing is only committed after the client confirms the setup is suitable.

How quickly can you deliver?

Standard delivery is within 3 to 5 business days of the pre-trial planning call. Urgent requests, hospital discharge, palliative escalation, can often be accommodated inside 48 hours subject to stock. We deliver across metropolitan Melbourne and by arrangement to regional Victoria.

What happens to the client's existing bed?

The existing bed is discussed on the pre-trial call and managed by our team on delivery day, nothing is moved without agreement. If the bed needs to leave the home temporarily to make room for the trial equipment, we coordinate that in advance.

Can the trial be used as evidence for NDIS, HCP or SAH funding?

Yes. Sleep Choice provides a clinical trial report, product specifications, delivery notes and quote that OTs, case managers, support coordinators and SAH assessors use to justify funding for the recommended bed and mattress. The trial gives real-world evidence that a showroom assessment cannot produce.

A Sleep Choice home trial is a 7-night, no-cost evaluation of an adjustable bed, pressure care mattress and prescribed accessories in the client's own bedroom. It is used across Melbourne by occupational therapists, case managers and Home Care Package, NDIS and Support at Home coordinators to validate an equipment recommendation with real-world evidence before any funding is committed.

Select the kit.

Use the clinical finder or describe the prescription directly. Bed, mattress, rails, and accessories are configured to the OT's recommendation — not a standard package.

Step two

Professional delivery and full setup.

We deliver, assemble, and test every function. We demonstrate to your client and confirm the setup is appropriate before we leave. Existing furniture is managed as agreed.

Step three

Seven nights in the home.

Real-world evaluation in the actual environment — not a showroom. Your client's own bedroom, their own routines, their own sense of what feels right. Evidence that holds up clinically.

Step four

You decide. Then we invoice.

Buy outright or rent-to-own. If the equipment is not right, we collect at no charge. Your client's funding is never committed until the outcome is confirmed as suitable.
