For coordinators and OTs

    Funding takes months.
    Waiting shouldn't.

Rent-to-Buy lets your client start using the right bed or mattress now, confirmed through a trial and OT assessment, while their NDIS funding works its way through. There is no fixed deadline to decide, and no cost if they choose not to proceed.

The gap nobody built a solution for

Approval for mid and high-cost assistive technology can take up to a year, and participants go without in the meantime. Coordinators are left choosing between delaying the case or recommending something the client cannot yet afford to buy outright. Rent-to-Buy exists so neither of those has to be the answer.

    The sequence

    How Rent-to-Buy works.

A simple three-step sequence for beds and mattresses.

    1
    Step one

    Trial.

The 7-night in-home trial confirms the bed or mattress is right before anything else happens.

    2
    Step two

    Assessment.

An OT assessment confirms the fit and builds the documentation your funding decision needs.

    3
    Step three

    Rent-to-buy.

Once the trial and assessment are done, the participant keeps using the equipment on a flexible rental while funding is finalised. If funding is approved, rent already paid can convert toward purchase. If plans change, they hand it back at no cost.

Why it works for the participant.

The participant is not asked to go without while the paperwork runs its course, and they are not asked to commit to a purchase before they know whether it will be funded. The bed or mattress arrives, gets used in the actual home environment, and stays there while the plan is worked through.

This also produces a real-world trial. The same in-home confirmation Sleep Choice's 7-night trial produces becomes usable evidence when the plan is reviewed, so the funding case is built on lived data rather than showroom guesswork.

What this takes off your plate.

    • You stop losing cases to the waiting game.
    • You have a documented, in-home trial as evidence when funding is reviewed.
    • Nothing is asked of the participant upfront that they can't walk away from.

    The practical questions

    Beds and mattresses.
    Bring us the case

    Before the funding lands.

Tell us a little about the participant and the situation. We will come back with the trial, the assessment sequence, and the Rent-to-Buy path from there.

Rent-to-Buy is offered at Sleep Choice's discretion and subject to eligibility. Full terms provided at the time of enquiry.
